发明名称 POSITION DETECTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To detect the position of a circular end of an object in a high speed and high accuracy with a simple constitution, by calculating a white area, a normalized area and a diameter of the white area in response to the result of measurement of a white area and surrounding length measuring circuit, and comparing the values with a reference value sequentially. CONSTITUTION:An area set circuit 4 inputs binary data to a picture memory circuit 5, a white area measuring circuit 6, and a surrounding length measuring circuit 7 for the specified area in the vicinity of the brightest point of a binary- coded video signal VDO. The circuits 6, 7 measure the white area and its surrounding length and transfer the data to a control processing circuit 10. When the white area data is a specified value or over, then the normalized area is calculated with a data from the circuit 7. When the nornalized area is a specified value or over, the binary threshold value is increased and each operation is repeated. When the maximum width of the white area is a specified value or elow, the picture data of the circular tip surfaces S1, S2 of objects L1, L2 is optimum estimated value and the position information is obtained from the binary-coded data of the circuit 5 with operation.
