PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive optical demultiplexer without requiring prism, rod lens, etc., by converting an input light signal into an electric signal temporarily through a photodetecting element and driving plural light emitting elements according to the electric signal. CONSTITUTION:The optical demultiplexer 10 has an input connector 11 and output connectors 12 and 13 on a case 14. A light signal 19 inputted to the connector 11 is converted by the photodetecting element 15 into the electric signal, which is amplified by an amplifying circuit 18. The output signal of the circuit 18 is waveform-shaped by a comparing circuit 20 to drive the light emitting elements 16 and 17 through driving circuits 21 and 22, thus performing conversion to output light signals 23 and 24. Those signals 23 and 24 are coupled with the connectors 12 and 13 through optical plugs and outputted to optical fibers. |
