A dental apparatus for making an oral impression tray in situ comprises a transporter member (2), a tray member and a spacer member (20). The transporter member (2) has an arch-shaped base provided with a handle (14) and includes fracture lines (4) for separating parts of the base, apertures (10) into which the impression material intrudes and raised bite stops (12). The tray member placed on the transporter member (2) is a mass of mouldable polymerizable impression material, desirably comprising a resin vehicle component and a filler component, and the spacer member (20) is a pad of uniform thickness placed on the tray member. |
