PURPOSE:To read information independently of the insertion direction of a recording card, by detecting the insertion direction of the card and editing read information on a basis of this detection signal. CONSTITUTION:When a paper card 15 is inserted, sensors 1-1-1-4 detect corner cut positions of the card 15 to transmit a detection signal corresponding to the insertion direction of the card 15 to an editing circuit 2. Data read out from the card 15 is stored in a storage circuit 8. The editing circuit 2 reads out read data, which is stored in the storage circuit 8, on a basis of the supplied detection signal in the order in according with the insertion direction of the card 15. Thus, information is read independently of the insertion direction of the card. |
