PURPOSE:To enable an effective and positive re-energization of a device to be performed by a method wherein the forward-most stage soot blower of soot blowers stopped due to its trouble is detected by inputting only an energization signal after a recovery of the trouble and the rearward-stage soot blowers are automatically re-energized in sequence. CONSTITUTION:A soot blower control device is comprised of an energization signal inputting means 1, a first sensing means 2 for sensing an operation of a final-stage blower, a restarting signal generating means 4 for outputting a re-energization signal only when all the outputs from a second sensing means 3 for sensing a stopped condition of operation of the blower, a discriminating means 6 for discriminating the forward-most stage soot blower stopped from an output of a third sensing means 5 in response to an output of a signal generating means 4 and an instucting means 7 for outputting a re-energization instruction. With this arrangement, after a recovery of the trouble, as an energizing signal is inputted, a re-energization signal is outputted at 4 if the final-stage blower is being operated and at least one blower is stopped for its operation. In this case, an energization instruction is outputted at 7 in reference to the re-energization signal for the forward-most stage blower of the stopped blowers and the rear-ward stage blowers are automatically operated in sequence according to an operation order program set.
