PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness, gradation, and image quality, by using a toner having average particle diameter and particle diameter of most frequent particles in a specified range, and a carrier consisting of particles having average particle diameter in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A toner consists of particles, having 6-10mum average particle diameter in weight distribution, 5-8mum diameter in the most frequent particles in particle distribution, <=15% particles of <=5mum diameter based on the total number of particles, and >=2% particles of >16mum diameter based on the total number. A carrier consisting of particles having 50-120mum average particle diameter in weight distribution is used. A core material for the carrier coated with, e.g., a styrene-alkyl acrylate copolymer or a styrene-alkyl methacrylate copolymer is used for the carrier particles. |
