PURPOSE:To measure the inner diameter of the pipe automatically, by providing a pivot part on a shaft, to one end of which a limit gage is fixed and to the other end of which a balancer is slidably attached, rotatably supporting the shaft, advancing the shaft in the axial direction with the horizontal attitude being maintained, and inserting a limit gage into the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The limit gate 3 having a passing side part 3a and a stopping side part 3b is attached to the shaft 9. The shaft 9 is supported in a floating head 6. The floating head 9 is moved by a cylinder 7, and the limit gage 3 is inserted into the pipe 2. The shaft 9 is supported by a pivot 10 so that the shaft can be turned and by springs 12 so that the shaft can be moved upward and downward. A reaction force at the time of pipe insertion is imparted by a stopper 13. The shaft 9 is horizontally kept by the balancer 11, guided and rotated by an expanded tip part of the pipe 2, and moved in the upward and downward directions so that the axial direction is aligned with the pipe 2. Then the limit gage 3 is inserted into the inner diameter part 2a of the pipe. |
