PURPOSE:To save power by a method wherein a see-through window is provided in the side surface of a quilt placed over an electrical KOTATSU so that the KOTATSU is turned OFF when it is confirmed through the see-through window that the KOTATSU is ON while it is not required to operate. CONSTITUTION:A see-through window 8 is formed in such a manner that a hole 4 is provided through the side surfaces of a quilt 2 and a blanket 3 over an electrical KOTATSU 1, a tubular member 6 attached with a flange 5 is fitted about the hole 4, a see-through plate 7 is inserted into the tubular member 6 through a screw formed on the inner surface of the latter, another tubular member 6' attached with a flange 5' and having its top end surface screwed is screw fitted into the tubular member 6 through the hole 4 from on the side of the quilt 2. Thus, by the provision of the see-through window 7, the light of the infrared ray lamp of the KOTATSU passes outside through the see-through plate 7 of the window 8 when the infrared ray lamp is ON so that it is possible to confirm in a simple manner the ON-condition of the switch of the KOTATSU 1 while when the KOTATSU 1 is not used, the switch is immediately turned OFF to thereby save power. |
