<p>(A11-Z?-5,8,11,14,17-cicosapentaenoic acid administration to a mammal, including man, for treatment or prophylaxis of thrombo-embolic conditions, for increasing bleeding time, for disintegrating or dispersing already formed thrombi or platelet clumps for modifying or controlling adherence of blood platelets to damaged tissue, for rendering blood platelets less readily aggregatable and/or more readily disaggregatable from one another, and for adding to blood in extra-corporeal circulation. Pharmaceutical fcrmulations containing (a11-Z)-5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof.</p> |
