PURPOSE:To set easily and accurately an interval between the detection end of a thermocouple and the tip wall of a protective tube at a necessary dimension, by moving the thermocouple and its protective tube at a prescribed mode. CONSTITUTION:At the time of setting a gap (x) between a heat sensitive part of a thermocouple 1 and the inner wall of a tip part of a tubular body 2 housing the thermocouple 1, a base 7 provided with a step part 8 having the same height to the gap (x) is prepared and it is arranged so that a tip wall 2a of the body 2 is brought into contact with an upper step face 8a of the part 8 of the base 7. The thermocouple 1 is inserted into this body 2 and the heat sensitive part is brought into contact with the inner wall of the tip part of the body 2 and then, the thermocouple 1 is fixed at that position. Hereafter, the body 2 is moved on a lower step face 8b of the part 8 of the base 7 by moving the base 7 and the heat sensitive part of the thermocouple 1 is separated from the inner wall of the tip part of the protective body 2. |
