发明名称 CONTROL FOR ENGINE BRAKE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve maneuverability of a vehicle with a torque converter by detecting the rotary phase difference between two gears having the same number of teeth and provided on a rotary shaft with a rotational frequency sensor to control an engine brake according to the result of the detection. CONSTITUTION:Inducing signals of two gears 14, 15 povided spaced from each other on an output shaft 8 and having the same number of teeth are detected by rotational frequency sensors 10, 11 so that an output torque detected from the phase difference is sent to the input of an engine brake control 20. A micro- computer 17 judges whether said torque is a drive one or brake one to confirm the gear position according to a predetermined program. When said torque is the drive one, a tail lamp 22 is turned off, and when it is the brake one, the gear position is lowered by one speed to enlarge the effect of the engine brake and turn on the tail lamp 22 for informing the following vehicle of braking. Thus the maneuverability of the engine brake can be improved.
