PURPOSE:To make it possible to collect evaporated gas without use of activated charcoal by receiving evaporated fuel from a fuel tank into an evaporated gas chamber where the inside of bellows are energyzed in the expansion direction, and the atmosphere acts on the outside of the bellows, and supply said fuel to a suction system during the operation of an engine. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is stopped, a suction pipe 12 is under the atmospheric pressure, and a check valve 40 is closed, so that bellows 24 are expnaded by the inflow of evaporated fuel, and air in an atmospheric chamber 28 is discharged via an orifice 46 and a filter 48, allowing the volume of the chamber 28 to be reduced. Although a spring 30 assists the expansion of the bellows 24, the exit velocity of air is suppressed by the orifice 46, so that the expansion velocity of the bellows 24 is restricted, permitting evaporated fuel gas to be collected. Moreover, a cooling fin 35 cools the evaporated gas, liquefies one part of it, and collects gas as a liquid. When the engine is operated, fuel in the evaporated gas chamber 26 is introduced the suction pipe 12 more negative than the pressure of a vapor discharge pipe 38, so that the volume of the chamber 26 is reduced the bellows 24 contract, and the volume of the atmospheric chamber 28 increases. |
