PURPOSE:To make it possible to arbitrarily control the injection amount, timing and pattern of fuel in response to an operating condition by providing a fuel relief valve, actuating an injection nozzle with a needle valve, and controlling a solenoid driving the needle valve. CONSTITUTION:When a cylinder reaches an injection starting point, an output from a control circuit 31 is sent to a solenoid 30, there a current flow to generate a magnetic field, and a needle valve 21 is lifted to open between the valve 21 and an oil feed 19. Hereby, fuel in an injection hydraulic chamber 18 is, through the hole 19, injected from an injection hole 20. When the conduction to the solenoid 30 is completed, the needle valve 21 returns the lower part to close the hole 19, allowing the injection to be completed. A current valve flowing through the solenoid 30 can be arbitrarily changed by the control circuit 31, and hereby the strength of a magnetic field gnerated by the solenoid 30 can be arbitrarily changed, so that the amount of lifting of the needle 21 can also be arbitrarily changed. Accordingly, the amount of injection per unit time can be arbitrarily changed. |
