摘要 PURPOSE:To regulate the magnetic field in a gap in a magnet device so as to be most suitable for an element, such as Faraday cell and the like, disposed in the gap, by providing a magnet and a kyoke including at a part thereof a part movable with respect to the magnet. CONSTITUTION:The magnet device has a gap 24 defined therein and is provided with a ring magnet 21 and a yoke 22 connected to one end of the magnet 21. The magnetic flux generated by the magnet 21 passes through the yoke 22 and a screw 23 serving as a part of the yoke 22 and is collected in the gap 24. The magnetic field intensity is strong in the vicinity of the screw 23 and becomes weaker as it is remoter therefrom. Accordingly, the magnetic field intensity in the gap 24 can be regulated by varying the insertion depth of the screw 23 into the gap 24 by turning the screw 23. When the magnet device is used with a Faraday cell or the like inserted into the gap 24, for example, by regulating the distance between the end of the screw 23 and the Faraday cell by turning the screw 23, the magnetic field intensity is varied and regulated to the value so that the Faraday cell can operate most properly.
