Security door comprises a panel of laminated glass mounted between horizontal metal strips at its upper and lower ends. Each mounting strip consists of two parallel halves whose (e.g H-shaped) cross-sections are such that, between them, they define a groove to receive a horizontal edge of the panel. - These sections further have complementary portions which extend towards one another and engage one another via complementary inclined faces such that when the screws connecting the halves are tightened, these halves are moved together to clamp the glass between them.
