PURPOSE:To make a bearing seal attach to one metal mold after molding of the bearing seal, by forming an outwardly extended tapered portion or portions at the shoulder portion or portions formed at one side or both sides of a flat rubber surface. CONSTITUTION:A tapered portion or portions 1 are formed at a should portion or portions at one side or both sides of a flat rubber surface of a bearing seal 2 having a seal lip. When the bearing seal shaped as above is molded by use of an upper and a lower two metal molds, the tapered portion 1 is fitted in a recess formed in one of the two metal molds for shaping the tapered portion 1. Therefore, when the molds are moved away from each other, the bearing seal is positively attached to the mold that is formed with the recess. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to automatize the molding process in a reliable and correct manner. |
