PURPOSE:To feed rolled paper smoothly and enable to detect the residual amount of the paper from the outside of a paper holder even when an inexpensive opaque material is used for the holder, by a method wherein a shaft for supporting a spool of a rolled paper and a lid body of a paper holder are formed in one body with a main body of the paper holder. CONSTITUTION:The main body 12 of the paper holder and the shaft 15 for supporting the spool of the rolled paper 7 are formed as one body, and the main body 12 and the lid body 13 are integrally connected to each other in a hinge construction. The lid body 13 is opened, a paper spool 10 of the rolled paper 7 is passed over the shaft 15 to fit the rolled paper 7 in position. The rolled paper 7 has the paper spool 10 supported by the shaft 15, and has side parts supported by a side face of the main body 12 and the lid body 13. Therefore, the rolled paper 7 is constantly applied with a tension while being fed out from the holder 11. Accordingly, the paper 7 is smoothly fed to a printer 2, and is discharged through a discharging port 4 after being printed thereon. The residual amount of the paper 7 can be accurately detected visually by checking an opening part 16 and an indicating graduation 17 from the ouside of the holder 11. |
