<p>The process comprises reaction of titanium ester of formula: (RO)2Ti(A)2 where R is a monovalent C1-30 aralkyl, etc. and A is a nonhydrolysable group of formula -SAr or an aryloxy gp. (Ar is phenyl or naphthylo of up to 30 carbon atoms), with an equimolecular quantity of an acid of formula (I): where R" is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl. To increase efficiency, the reaction takes place on the surface of the filler, of general formula (II). Used for thermosetting resins to mfr. organic hydrophobic coating on solid base.</p> |
