PURPOSE:To provide the titled system capable of automatically adjusting the printing pressure in accordance with the kind of type, by a method wherein a printing pressure signal is obtained on the basis of the number of dots in a dot pattern corresponding to each character fed out from a character generator. CONSTITUTION:When a character is designated by an input from a keyboard A2, a dot pattern corresponding to the designated character is read from the character generator A6 by a CPU A1, and the printing pressure signal is obtained on the basis of the number of dots in the pattern. The printing pressure signal is coded, and is stored in a disk memory A4 together with a character code for each character as input code signals. When the disk memory A4 is loaded as a disk memory B2, the CPU B1 reads a position signal and a printing pressure signal from a memory B6 in accordance with the input code signals, and sends command signals to a servo mechanism B3 and a typing mechanism B4. An automatic typewriter B types the character designated by the input part A, at an appropriate printing pressure. |
