<p>A pinch roll in the strand guiding of a continuous steel casting plant is mounted adjacent to and coaxial with a pinch roll of the same type. To create a simple, easily accessible supply and discharge line of the cooling medium for internal cooling of the pinch roll (3a and 3b respectively), the pinch roll has, at its externally mounted journal (15 and 16 respectively) between the bearing point (8 and 11 respectively) of the latter and a coupling (17), a radial cooling- medium rotary passage (22), provided with inlet and outlet, leading to inner coaxial cooling-medium channels (12, 13). <IMAGE></p> |
