This relates to an injection ampoule 1 which is of the type which has the form of an hermetically closed, injection liquid-containing vial which is made of glass or a comparable material and which has a part 2 which is intended for opening the ampoule and which can be broken off the ampoule. According to the invention, the environment immediately around the part 2 which can be broken off is entirely sealed off from the external environment in which the handler is operating.
