PURPOSE:To permit quick starting of copying operation in a desired mode by making the selection of the mode equivalent to the operations of plural keys possible by the operation of keys belonging to one group. CONSTITUTION:A control CPU202 reads the keys in an operating part and a cassette size from a key matrix circuit 204 therein, detects the inputting of a copying key, etc. by driving an operation display circuit 203, and outputs a copying command to a sequence CPU201. On the other hand, the CPU201 receives the copying signal which is the 4-bit signal indicating the scanning width of an original, the assignment of paper feed stages and a variable magnification, applies the signal to a setting circuit 205 for an optical system and sets the optical system at a desired magnification. Also, said CPU applies the signal to a driving circuit 206 for image formation so as to start the sequence for image formation by various exposure circuits, and circuits for driving motors and driving a high voltage power source. |
