PURPOSE:To obtain an image almost free from stains without requiring washing by processing a color photosensitive silver halide material in the presence of a reducing agent and an optionally added coupler using a peroxide, a halogenite, an iodoso compound or a Co (III) complex compound as an intensifier at a specified pH. CONSTITUTION:A color photosensitive silver halide material is processed in the presence of a reducing agent (developing agent) and an optionally added coupler using a dil. buffer soln. of 2-7pH contg. >=1 kind of intensifier selected from peroxides such as H2O2, halogenites such as sodium chlorite, iodoso compounds such as o-iodosobenzoic acid and Co (III) complex compounds such as hexamminecobalt chloride. Thus,washing can be eliminated, and a color image with sufficient developed color density is obtd. while effectively preventing staining even if the color photosensitive material contains a small amount of silver. |
