PURPOSE:To reduce space and equipment costs by moving a sliding table itself from a stacking device by the reaction of the sliding friction generated between the steel plate under conveying and driving rolls. CONSTITUTION:When a sliding table 2 is located above a stacking device 7, and a steel plate 5 is conveyed onto the table 2 with a conveying roll table 1, the plate 5 is stopped above the device 7 by a steel plate stopping device 4. When the driving rolls 2a on the table 2 are rotated and driven in the direction reverse from the conveying direction (a) of the plate 5, the movement of the plate 5 is prohibited by a preventing device 6 for stray running and the force for moving the table 2 in the direction opposite from the rotating direction of the rolls 2a is acted by the reaction of te sliding friction generated between the plate 5 and the rolls 2a. Therefore, the table 2 moves the plate 5 in the conveying direction while bringing the plate 5 to fall gradually from one end thereof onto the device 7 so as to allow the plate 5 to remain in said position. When the end part of the plate 5 leaves the final roll 2a on the table 2, the plate 5 is contained on the device 7. |
