PURPOSE:To make a metallic film dense by pressing and forging and to improve the plasticity thereof by solidifying molten metal quickly between rolls to form a metallic film, cutting the same, laminating the cut films in a capsule and subjecting the laminated films to hot pressing then to hot forging. CONSTITUTION:Nickel base alloys are charged into a crucible 5 and the inside of a vessel 1 is evacuated. Electricity is transmitted to a high frequency induction coil 6 to melt the raw materials in the crucible 5 and an inert gas is fed through a supply and discharge port 3 into the vessel 1 to maintain the same pressure as the atmospheric pressure in the vessel. The crucible 5 is moved downward by a vertical moving device 4, and a stopper 9 is moved upward to open a nozzle 8 with a vertical moving device 10; at the same time, an inert gas is fed into the vessel to eject the molten metal and to cool the same quickly between cooling rolls 13, thereby forming a metallic film. The metallic film is cut, and the cut films are stacked in a capsule of an inorg. material. The laminated films are subjected to hot hydrostatic pressing then to hot forging in an inert gas. |
