PURPOSE:To descale efficiently and to prevent component of projected material from remaining on the surface of a thin plate by cleaning the surface of the thin plate using highly pressurized water or a brush after projecting a projection material. CONSTITUTION:A thin plate paid out from a pay off reel 11 is connected to a preceding thin plate by a welder 12, and sent to a mechanical descaler 15 through a trimmer 13 and a looper 14. In the descaler 15, projection material or slurrified material made by mixing the projection material with water at high pressure is projected on the surface of the thin plate at high pressure. Films of iron oxide formed on the surface are removed. Then, highly pressurized water is jetted by a cleaning device 16 jetting highly pressurized water, and component element remaining or infiltrated on the surface of the thin plate is stripped off. Then, still remaining iron oxide films and component element of projection material are removed more completely in a light pickling device 17. Acid remaining on the surface is removed in a rinsing section 18. Then, the plate is coiled around a tension reel through a looper 19. |
