PURPOSE:To provide an aqueous working fluid with a high water content and excellent lubricating property, containing mineral oil, polymer or polycondensate of fatty acid and surfactant as essential ingredients and fatty acid and additives when necessary. CONSTITUTION:The operating fluid contains, as essential ingredients, (a) mineral oil, (b) a polymer or polycondensate of a fatty acid (e.g. trimer acid or polycondensate of ricinoleic acid) and (c) a sufactant and, when necessary, (d) a fatty acid (perf. 20-24C and liquid at normal temperature) and (d) additives (e.g. preservative, metal corrosion inhibitor, vapor phase rust preventive, etc.). The working fluid is used in the form of an emulsion with a high water content (usually 90-95%) and shows markedly improved lubicating property with reduced wear of friction parts of pump and other machines as compared with conventional aqueous working fluids. It is safe, for there is no danger of inflammation or ignition. |
