The device to hold the row of coupling teeth(1) of a carrier band, for a slide fastener, has a lower section(13) with a slit(16) to take the carrier band. there are a pair parallel holding plates(14) movably disposed on both sides of the slit, a pair of linkages(15) to connect the holding plates, two brackets(19) mounted on the lower section for allowing the linkages to be hinged to them, and spring units(23) in the lower section to depress sideways the holding plates.
