The mounting includes an insulating block (1) with a channel (1a) joining the aerial tube (3) on one side to a transverse hole (1a) on the adjacent side. A metal rod (2) fits into the channel to make an electrical connection. The lower surface of the block has a cut-out portion to receive the upper collar (4a) of a metal tube (4) threaded on to a sleeve (1c) which extends down from the free end of the connecting rod (2). A plate (5) extending across the bottom of the block (1) has a hole (5c) for a fixing screw to attach the aerial to the vehicle body. A coaxial plug may then be fitted into the socket formed by the metal tube (4) which projects inside the vehicle. A moulded casing (10) surrounds the whole assembly.
