PROVIDING SYSTEM OF PICTURE INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To display detailed picture in an easy-to-see way with high image resolution, by deleting the color signal component and transmitting only the luminance signal when the detailed picture information is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:An access is given to an information center 1 from a terminal part 7 by means of a pushphone 9. An information processor 2 retrieves a designated picture out of a picture file device 3 on the basis of an indication given from the part 7 and transmits it to a video signal producing pat 4. The picture is converted into the NTSC video signal. Then the detailedness of the picture is decided, and only the luminance component signal obtained by deleting the color component signal is fed to the part 7 via an input/output control part with a picture having higher detailedness than the threshold value, the video signal containing the color component signal is fed to the part 7 as it is with a picture having the detailedness lower than the threshold value. A terminal picture receiver 8 displays pictures in a picture receiving state of ordinary TV broadcast without controlling the state of devices in response to the detailedness of the picture.
