PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance of treated material remarkably by thermal spraying iron on an iron group metallic material and Ni plating on the surface. CONSTITUTION:To ensure good adhesion of thermal spray material on the surface of iron group metallic material, grinding, rinsing, de-fatting, drying and blasting are performed as necessary. Then, iron is thermal sprayed. At this time, adhesion of thermal spray layer can be improved by activating the surface of iron group metallic material by heating. In this case, it is desirable to use reducing flame to prevent oxidation of the surface. The iron group metallic material includes austenitic stainless steel except Ni base (above 50% Ni), normal carbon steel and low alloy steel etc. including killed steel. To stick Ni plating uniformly on the thermal spray layer of iron, grinding, rinsing, de-fatting, rinsing and drying are performed as necessary. Then, Ni plating is made after pickling, rinsing and drying. Corrosion resistance can be further improved by performing diffusion heat treatment to form a Ni-iron alloy layer. |
