PURPOSE:To obtain a homogeneous image by curving the conductors of electrodes concerning electron-beam deflections correspondingly to curving of a display screen. CONSTITUTION:Since a voltage almost the same as a high voltage of around 5-15KV, which is applied to a screen plate 59, is applied to a beam-accelerating electrode 8, the deflection of electron beams is much more accelerated in the electrode 8. In addition, since the screen plate 59 is curved (it is protruded at its center by about 10-30mm.), the beam transit distance becomes longer at the center than at both ends, and the deflection distance increases at the center more than at both ends. Therefore, when beams reach the screen plate 59 finally, the shape of electron beams for one line can be recognized as a straight line and not as a curved line. As a result, the seams of a display division on the screen plate 59 for the electron beams of each line, which corresponds to each of linear cathodes 2a-2b, become extremely excellent. Consequently, a homogeneous quality of pictures can be realized without causing any line on the pictures. |
