PURPOSE:To enable a short-circuit testing with a sufficient equivalent of a multicutoff tank type breaker by performing a test using a large current source, a first high voltage source connected thereto, a second high voltage source whose voltage peaks in a specified timing and the like. CONSTITUTION:A sample multicutoff tank type breaker 17 is opened to match the phase of a short-circuit current i1 with a large current source 25 to start a trigger cap 8 of a first high voltage source 16 before the zero point t2 of the current i1. An overlapping current i2 determined by a capacitor 7 and a reactor 9 is the same in the polarity as the current i1 and overlaps the current i1 in such a manner that the zero point of the current i2 comes after the zero point of the current i1 is passed. An auxiliary breaker 6 is cut off at the zero point t2 to separate a power source 25. Following the zero point t3 of the current i2, the sum of a voltage generated from a resistance 10 and a condensor 11 and a voltage inverted in the polarity of a condensor 7 provides a restriking voltage V1. At the zero point t3, a difference between a voltage V2 and a voltage V1 as generated with the start of a cap 13 of the power source 27 is applied to a tank 18 as restriking voltage. This enables a short-circuit testing with a sufficient equivalence. |
