The supporting element serves for holding the slatted armour of a gather-up slatted blind. It has fastening members (3) arranged at regular intervals on a strand (2) and intended for the slats, the fastening members (3) possessing a body (4) fastened to the strand (2) and an element (7, 8, 9) to be connected to the slat. The body (4) and the element (7, 8, 9) are connected to one another so as to be rotatable about the axis (12) relative to one another. A simplification of production and of the fastening to the slat (11) is achieved in that the body (4) is firmly connected to a ball (6), thereby forming the axis, and the element (7, 8, 9) has a lug (7). The ball (6) is rotatably held and mounted in the lug (7) and is connected to the body (4) through a perforation (9) in the lug wall. <IMAGE>
