The object on which it is based is to reduce the outlay and the space requirement and to lower the proportion of manual activity. This object is achieved in that the collecting container (1) for roving tubes is movable along the machine, a spring (3) is connected to the bottom flap (2) and a roller (5) is arranged at a suitable point on the machine and level with a guide rail (4) connected rigidly to the bottom flap (2).
