For an agricultural spreader vehicle a disc spreading mechanism is proposed which comprises two spreading discs (9, 10) driven in opposition to one another, which have no mutual overlap but are arranged at a considerable distance from one another. The clearance (a) between the two discs (9 and 10) is bridged by a deflection surface (13) on which a reversing oscillating raker (11, 12) delivers the spread material, supplied in this area, to the side onto the spreading discs. <IMAGE>
