The invention relates to a method of detecting disturbed measurement profiles, caused for example by underground blasting work, as part of a CO-fire early detection system with a view to avoiding an unnecessary fire alarm in evaluation by a computer, the blasting signals, which have a characteristic form and duration due to the time stages of the ignition, being picked up via geophones and transmitted to a microprocessor, and the latter sending a corresponding message to the process computer via the existing data-transmission system.
