PURPOSE:To remove the toner of a 2-component developer intruding into a one- component magnetic toner developing device, by providing a conductive separator for electrostatically attracting the toner of the 2-component developer, in a one-component magnetic toner developing device used for second developing. CONSTITUTION:A one-component magnetic toner 15 is held on the surface of a developing roller 16, carried to a developing position by rotation of a sleeve 17, and controlled to a prescribed thickness with a doctor blade 18 on the way. A conductive toner separator 19 is arranged near the roll 16, and voltage V1 up to developing bias VB is applied to the separator 19. Since the toner (a) of a 20-component developer intruding from a first developing device is charged positively, the toner (a) is attracted to the separator 19 by an electric field directed from one magnetic pole of the roll 16 to the separator 19, scraped with a scraper 20 held in slidable contact with the separator 19, and received into a toner container 21. |
