PURPOSE:To provide a sample which is capable of examining of a multipass weld for corrosion by means of a single sample, by a method wherein a bead of 1- several passes is placed on a sample base material, and a bead of 1- several passes, crossing the former bead, is then placed. CONSTITUTION:A bead 1 of a first pass is placed on a sample base material 3, and a bead 2 of a second pass is placed perpendicularly to the bead 1. A thermal influence, which is exercised on the bead 1 of the first pass by the bead 2 of the second pass, differs with distances (f), (g) and (h) from the bead 2. This enables examining of a weld for corrosion to a thermal cycle by means of only the single sample 3. |
