The timeswitch has numerous pins (13) which are arranged along a spiral guide web (12) consisting of twelve turns. One of two contact pieces (36, 37), which are arranged on an arm (32) running radially with respect to the spiral, is guided between the contacts. The arm (32) is driven by a ring (20) so that the contact piece (36) which is guided in the guide web (12) on a spiral path, touches all the pins (13) once during one passage through the guide web. The pins (13) have insulated heads. They can be pulled forward so that the contact piece (36) touches their non-insulated region. By means of plug-in connecting leads, the pins (13) or further contacts (68), which are arranged along the guide web (12), are connected to switching elements in which a switching procedure is carried out in each case on reaching the relevant pin (13) or further contacts (68). <IMAGE>
