发明名称 PRINTING HEAD COOLING MECHANISM
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the capacity of a printing head, by using a centrifugal type blower wherein a blower fan is rotated by a two-phse stepping motor provided at a position obliquely downward from a printing head and mounted to the side surface of a printer carrier. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 5 becomes extremely thin because of two phases and can sufficiently follow high speed rotation by largely taking a stepping angle. By using this two-phase stepping motor 5 in order to drive a blowing fan 7, a long life small-sized centrifugal type blower 3 capable of supplying an air stream having high cooling energy to a printing head 2 by the high speed rotation of the blowing fan 7 can be mounted to the slight space of the side surface of a printer carriage 1 at a position oblique downward from the printing head 2. The cooling air injected from the emitting port of the centrifugal type blower 3 continuously supplies cooling effect to the printing head 2 over the entire region above the track of the printer carriage 1. As a result, because the temp. gradient of the internal temp. of the printing head and the circumferential temp. become large, heat transfer efficiency and heat dissipating effect are enhanced drastically.
