摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an exhauster, by carrying out reduction of an oxide left over inside a glass tube with fairly lower temperature than ever before, while removing almost completely the residual oxide in the glass tube as well as making a filament so as to get off unlighted. CONSTITUTION:This method is developed by having an eye to the fact that carbon monoxide (CO) is ever strong in reduction force even in case of low temperature as compared with hydrogen (H), i.e., in the exhausting process of a tungsten halogen lamp, inert gases inclusive of the carbon monoxide, for example, nitrogen, argon and/or a mixture of gases comprising the nitrogen and argon are sealed up inside a glass tube which is heated from the outside by a burner and the like without lighting a filament inside the glass tube, thereby raising the temperature of metal component parts such as a lead wire, etc., inside the glass tube and reducing these oxidated metal component parts inside the glass tube. The formed carbon dioxide gas (CO2) is exhausted out of the glass tube together with the inert gases and residual carbon monoxide.
