The invention relates to a regulating valve for modifying the average flow of a first flow duct depending on the average flow of a second flow duct with a sensing member in the first flow duct and with a throttle member, controlled by the sensing member, in the second flow duct, as well as to a use of this regulating valve. The further development of the regulating valve consists according to the invention in that the two flow ducts (9, 10) are designed in a common housing (1), the sensing member as a first flap (3) and the throttle member as a second flap (4), the two flaps (3 and 4) being arranged on a common pin (2) mounted pivotably in the housing (1). The use according to the invention of the regulating valve in a liquid supply system with two pipes and with a central feed is characterised in that the first flow duct (9) of the regulating valve (11) is connected to a feed pipe (20) of the system and the second flow duct (10) is inserted between the two pipes (27, 34) of the system. <IMAGE>
