Method and device for reducing noise during the cross transfer of rolling bodies

For low-noise cross transfer of rolling bodies, a novel process is proposed which makes it possible not only for the rolling bodies to be buffered and stored with minimum space requirement but also allows them to be simultaneously transported away from and/or fed into a cross transfer installation. For this purpose, a novel type of conveying chain having drivers which can be coupled and uncoupled automatically, positively or non-positively, by means of springs is integrated into a cross transfer installation. Upon accumulation of rolling bodies, the separating drivers remain between the rolling bodies. An effective blocking and switching system ensures that at least one noise-absorbing driver is available for each rolling body.
