PURPOSE:To release a machine tool from an abnormal condition by a method wherein a load fluctuation in accompanied with rotating motion and the load fluctuation in accompanied with feeding motion are detected to output alarm signals respectively and both of the detecting signals are combined. CONSTITUTION:The detecting signals a1, a2 corresponding to the loads applied to the driving systems of the rotating motion and the feeding motion are compared with respective standard load values and when a time, in which the deviataions have been exceeding allowable ranges therefor, have become longer than the delay time therefor, respective alarm signals e1, e2 are outputted, abnormality detecting signals f1, f2 are outputted from an abnormality signal generating unit 5 and the machine tool is stopped after finishing present cutting program. When the alarm signals e1, e2 are outputted simultaneously, the machine tool is stopped immediately diciding that a serious abnormality is caused in the machine tool. |
