PURPOSE:To reduce the noise by forming a narrowed passage in a muffler fail by dividing said muffler tail and introducing the exhaust outside through said passage, thus eliminating the resonance generated in the case when exhaust is introduced as it is into a vacant space. CONSTITUTION:A muffler body 1 is equipped with a front inflow part 2 inside, the second expansion chamber 4 at the back which communicates to the front inflow chamber 2 through an inflow pipe 3, and the intermediate third expansion chamber 6 which communicates to the second expansion chamber 4 through a communication pipe 5, while a pair of outflow pipes 7 which are extended rearward are installed in parallel onto the third expansion chamber 6. Those outflow pipes are opened at the tail end of the muffler body 1, and a pair of exhaust outlets 8 are arranged there. A narrowed passage 12 in the longitudinal direction is formed in a vacant space 10 by dividing said vacant space 10, and the exhaust obtained at the exhaust outlet 8 is discharged outside from the end of a tail 11 through the space after the outlet 8 and the passage which communicates to the space. |
