PURPOSE:To enable the wiping on most part of a rectangular window face by means of a small driver, by constructing a wiper device such that a wiper blade will perform linear reciprocal motion. CONSTITUTION:Upon rotation of a motor 1, a drive rod 3 provided with a male screw is rotated through gears 18, 18' and a torque transmission wire 2, thereby a mating female screw 4 is blocked by a rotation stopper 5a to be moved linearly. Since a wiper blade 7 is coupled through an arm 6 to said female screw 4, the blade 7 will move linearly according to the motion of the female screw 4. Here a female screw 9 will also move linearly on a movement detecting drive rod 8 having a short pitch male screw, and the revolving direction of the motor 1 is exchanged every time when said female screw 9 will contact with a limit switch 10 or 11, thereby reciprocating the wiper blade 7. |
