PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of a reproduced output, by adding a coil which applies a DC compensating magnetic field to a thin film of high permeability of a magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:A coil 8 is provided around the tip of a primary magnetic pole 1 for vartically magnetized recording and reproduction which is opposed to an auxiliary magnetic pole 3 and centering on a recording medium 5. A DC compensating matnetic field HDC is applied to the pole 1 and a thin film 2 of high permeability via the coil 8. As a result, an external magnetic field Hex produced by the earth magnetism and other component parts, etc. can be substantially eliminated. This prevents the reduction of a reproduced output due to an external magnetic field. |
