PURPOSE:To prevent a fault of a read part due to contact failure, by inserting an IC card into a reader as it remains put into a case, and executing its read, etc. CONSTITUTION:When using a card 1 stored in a case 9, the card 1 is inserted together with the case 9 with a square window 10 facing front, from a card inserting port. The case 9 goes forward on a guide plate 13 by feed rolls R1, R2, a stopper pin 15 provided on a stopper 14 is inserted into a square hole of the front end face, the card 1 is moved in the case against resilience of a spring 12 by feed force of the feed rolls R1, R2, and the end face of the case 9 hits against the stopper 14 and stops. A read head of the device descends to a position of the square window 10, contacts with a terminal 5a and executes read or write. |
