PURPOSE:To have stable separation of sheets having variety in thickness and frictional coefficient without fine adjustment by selecting the internal hardness of both or either of the friction member and frictional transporting member to a value lower than the hardness of the surface to be in contact with the sheet. CONSTITUTION:In a separator device for sheets 1 which has a friction member 11 to generate resistant force against transport of the sheets 1 and a frictional transporting member to urge transport of the sheets 1, the internal hardness of both or either of the members 11 and 3 is selected to a value lower than the hardness of the surface to be in contact with the sheets. The member 3 can be put in contact with the member 11 without fine adjustment, in which the pressure of this contact part can be changed automatically according to the thickness of the sheet passing here. That is, a minor contact pressure is applied when a thinner sheet is passing while a major pressure when a thicker sheet is passing, so that a separation pressure suitable for each sheet having respective thickness can be obtained automatically. Thus the range for applicable thickness with separability can be widened. |
